Evaluation of the test bench panel

The type of deck should be specified by the laboratory owner, architect, laboratory manager, or sometimes the user at the initial design stage of the laboratory. The evaluation of the test bench panel should be based on the different needs of each laboratory:

◆Corrosion resistance

◆Heat resistance

◆Absorption of liquids

◆ load capacity

◆Anti-impact and abrasion resistance

◆Electrical conductivity

◆ Ability to collect and discharge liquids (especially in sink areas and fume hoods)

◆Maintenance and convenience

◆ ergonomic

◆Practical

◆Color

◆ overall appearance

◆Special needs (eg, irregular shapes, minimum seams, etc.)

Each laboratory design has unique requirements for the test bench panel, but it must be based on different types of laboratories. The following are general considerations:

◆ Chemical laboratories (eg, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, biochemistry, analysis) should pay special attention to the chemical resistance of the countertops, easy to clean, moderate color, load bearing, abrasion resistance and heat resistance.

◆ Physical laboratories should pay special attention to physical tension, abrasion resistance, impact resistance and heat resistance.

◆ Biological laboratories should pay special attention to pollution resistance, easy cleaning, abrasion resistance and resistance to bacterial fungal attack.

◆ Special-purpose laboratories based on chemical resistance (eg, pathology/hematology and other special biochemical laboratories) should focus on non-permeability and ease of cleaning.
