The fume hood is not a separate device. Changes in the external environment will affect the performance of the fume hood. When you are choosing a fume hood:
First of all: the factors of the entire system must be considered, for example: the space of the laboratory, the ventilation control system of the building, the arrangement of the exhaust pipes and the placement of the fume hood, etc. Second: You need to determine which type of fume hood you need. When choosing, you can usually measure according to the following factors:
1. Part of the cabinet:
There are three styles: standard, desktop, and floor-standing.
Whether the surface wind speed of the fume hood meets the safety wind speed requirements of the international standard regulations: 0.5m / s (international standards stipulate that only the surface wind speed of 0.5m / s can effectively capture harmful gases in the cabinet).
Whether the opening height of the fume hood is suitable to meet your needs for operating space.
Ventilation control system: fixed air volume, variable air volume or adaptive control system.
Inner lining board material: anti-fold special board, solid core physicochemical board, medium density external physicochemical board, etc.
Whether the raw material of the adjustment door is made of reinforced tempered glass, and whether its design conforms to human body mechanics, so that the operator can pull freely.
2. Countertop part:
Whether the countertop adopts a safe dish design, which is convenient for users to clean the countertop and prevent the leakage of toxic liquid.
Whether the material of the tabletop meets the needs of your experiment and resists corresponding corrosion and high temperature. |
Whether the cup or sink is installed, and whether the installation position is reasonable. Whether the design of the air outlet is reasonable.
3. Base cabinet part:
Whether the material is strong and durable, whether it is a fireproof material, and whether it can resist the corrosion of the acid and alkali environment of the laboratory.
Whether the power supply is reasonable and safe.
Whether it is convenient to maintain water, electricity and gas systems.
Does the base cabinet need to be designed for air extraction so that you can place volatile medicines.
After you have basically selected the model, style and size of the fume hood, you can determine what you need according to the following conditions.
4. Accessories:
Water source: distilled water, pure water or reverse osmosis water, etc.
Gas source: nitrogen, oxygen or air, etc.
The choice of electrical system should be considered: model, voltage size, safety, durability and so on.
For aesthetic reasons, do you need to seal the board?
